Which areas do you service?

We can provide a no obligation, free quote for most areas in the Sydney metropolitan area.
Quotes conducted in the Illawarra, Central Coast and Blue Mountains areas are subject to travelling fees.
We can ship D-I-Y kits to anywhere in Australia.

Do I need a cat door or can I carry my cat out to the enclosure?

For best results it is advisable to let your cat choose when to go outside. And this works best with a cat door. Access to your cat enclosure could be through a cat door fitted either in a door, window or through a wall. Enclosures that are a distance away from any indoor area can be joined by a walkway.
We have a complete pet door installation service for timber, cladding, brick veneer and double brick construction.
We can refer glaziers for fitting pet doors into sliding glass doors and windows.

Do you advise having an enclosure that is not connected to the house?

Carrying your cat from your house to the enclosure can be time consuming and in some cases awkward for you and your cat.

Any separate enclosed area should include shelter from wind, rain, storms and extreme weather conditions. Your cats indoor area would usually be your home however a part of the garage, the shed or a purpose built area such as a cats cottage are other options.

What is a cats cottage?

The Cats Cottage is an alternative for providing a sheltered area for free standing enclosures. The cubby is usually joined to an enclosure unit by a walkway.  The cottage is a weatherproof sleeping area for up to 2 cats.

The cottage has a sloping hinged roof for human access to make up beds and clean inside and includes a window for fresh air and legs to elevate the cottage above the ground.

How can we put a walkway across where there is a path?

A walkway can be put up above head height or on the ground as a removable tunnel section.

How do we get our cats up high to get over an obstacle?

By using vertical climbing units.
These allow your cat to climb vertically in restricted spaces and include platforms.
These come in a range of sizes from 0.3 metres deep and 0.75 metres wide and can be made to any height.

What type of wire do you use?

Cat Zone enclosure systems are based on light but strong galvanised wire mesh panels. The mesh aperture is 50mm x 50mm making the mesh strong but very unobtrusive.

Are the D-I-Y units easy to install?

Standard enclosure units come in joined panel form and can be assembled with the appropriate tools by a handy person. Installations on level sites are simpler. You can have a go or Cat Zone can install them for you!

Do you deliver to the country? For D–I-Y customers we can deliver Standard enclosure units and fittings Australia Wide.

Do I need any extra tools to install the D-I-Y units?

You will need a good set of wire cutters. All fasteners and assembly tools for Do-It-Yourself installations are available.

Do the units need to be mounted on floors?

Units are usually put on an area in the garden or grass.The ground can be landscaped with either pebbles, pavers or timber if desired. Ground spikes similar to tent pegs are used for installing units on grass and garden areas. Base frames are used for mounting units on decking , paved or concrete areas. Floors similar to walkway floors can be used for elevated units.

How long is a walkway?

Standard walkway length is 1.8 metres but lengths can be cut or joined to make any required length. Walkways can span up to 3.0 metres without support. Walkways can be joined to go around corners and can also be used as ramps. Walkways can run from a cat door in a window to your enclosure unit and be used to join units to each other.

Walkways can be mounted up high under eaves on top of pergolas or over roofs. They can also be mounted near to the ground or rest on the ground.

What is the walkway floor made of?

Walkway floors include a wire mesh base covered with a UV treated black PVC matting which cats love to walk on.

What style of customised enclosures do you build?

We enclose large areas such as verandas, under verandas, between the side of the house and the fence and purpose built free standing areas.
These enclosed areas are easy to walk into and have gate access.
